Avolon third quarter reports leases to seven new customers

Avolon executed 43 lease transactions in the third quarter of 2023, including new leases, follow-on leases, and lease extensions.

The lessor reports net income for the quarter was US$97m, showing a 28pc increase compared to Q2, and the year-to-date net income reached US$229m.

  • Seven new aircraft were delivered to 7 different customers, with 4 aircraft transitioning to new customers.
  • Letters of intent were signed for the sale and leaseback of 16 aircraft, while 14 aircraft were sold and letters of intent were signed for the sale of an additional 15 aircraft.
  • The orderbook is 95pc filled until the end of 2025.
  • A confirmed order for 20 A330neo aircraft was made. Currently, the owned and managed fleet stands at 568 aircraft, with 329 fuel-efficient, new technology aircraft on order or committed to.
  • Lease revenue experienced an 8pc increase, reaching US$588m.
  • Operating cashflow showed a robust performance with a significant increase of 125pc to US$626m.
  • There was a reduction of 21pc in receivables and deferred balances over the quarter.
