Jersey airport reopens after storm damage to terminal

Jersey airport has reopened following Storm Ciarán. Detailed inspections revealed significant damage to infrastructure, equipment, and systems, prompting the closure of the airport for commercial operations for two days. Passenger services by Condor are not expected to resume until after the weekend. Jersey experienced winds exceeding 100 mph during the storm, resulting in damage to homes and injuries to residents. 

British Airways, EasyJet, and Blue Islands flights cancelled flights. 

Guernsey and Alderney airports, initially closed during the storm, reopened Friday morning.

A small number of Irish flights were cancelled in Thursday but Ireland; traffic remained largely unaffected by the storm.
