Korean Air plans to introduce a premium economy class as it receives new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Currently, the airline has 11 787-9 aircraft and will receive nine more, along with 20 higher-capacity 787-10s.

The 787-9 Dreamliner currently accommodates 269 passengers, with 24 in business class and 245 in economy class. The seat map for the 787-10 with premium economy has not been released yet.

Korean Air will resume its flights to Komatsu and Aomori in Japan from Seoul Incheon. With these additions, the airline will restore its Japan network to pre-pandemic levels, serving a total of 12 destinations in Japan.

Additionally, Korean Air has increased its order for Airbus A321 neo aircraft to 50, with 8 already delivered. These aircraft are being deployed on short and medium-haul routes in Southeast Asia, China, and Japan.
