MYAirline, a Malaysian low-cost carrier, has agreed to pay MYR4.3m ringgits (USD917,900) to 158 employees.

The payment was secured by the Malaysian Labour Department on behalf of the employees’ union, which had filed a claim for unpaid salaries.

The payments will begin in January but are subject to the airline securing fresh investment.

MYAirline ceased operations in October and had not paid some salaries during September and October, prompting the claim by the employees’ union.
