Mr Jacobs told the OIreachtas transport committee: “we are moving facilities that are on the southern side of the airport complex to facilitate growth around Terminal 2 and more gates being constructed there in the short to medium-term future.”

“There is a whole new pier that will be constructed that Aer Lingus aand other transatlantic carriers close to the current cargo operations. That will be the extra stands, an extra pier, extra capacity to be able to offer airlines the ability for us to do much more transatlantic flights.”
