Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland hosted 36 business event suppliers at the IBTM world event in Barcelona, one of Europe’s largest trade shows for the global meetings and events industry.
The event will provide an opportunity for suppliers to meet with industry professionals, with the aim of driving the number of international business events held in Ireland even higher.
Irish tourism has secured 360 future international business events, valued at €160m.
Over 1,100 appointments have been prescheduled with agencies and suppliers, giving international buyers the chance to learn about Ireland as a destination for business events and experience Irish food tastings prepared by Chef Andrew Rudd.
