Qatar Airways increases frequencies on five routes

Qatar Airways plans to increase frequencies on five routes: Doha-Amsterdam, Belgrade, Barcelona, Bangkok, and Miami.

The Doha-Amsterdam service will change from ten flights per week to twice daily starting from 16 December.

Belgrade will have an increase in flights from seven to ten per week from 23 December, while Barcelona will have an increase from 18 to 21 flights per week from 1 January, 2024.

In Asia, Qatar Airways will boost its Bangkok service from 35 to 38 weekly flights from 15 December.

The airline’s Miami route will increase from seven to ten weekly flights starting from 13 January, 2024.

Akbar Al Baker, who has been the CEO of Qatar Airways for 27 years, will be stepping down, and Badr Mohammed Al-Meer will be his replacement.

The airline’s A380 superjumbo aircraft are expected to remain in the fleet until at least 2025, as stated by Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, the former chief operating officer of Hamad International airport.
