Photographer Chris Rodmell has returned to Inis Meáin after 50 years, capturing the island’s past and present through his lens.
The documentary “Inis Meáin: Idir Dhá Linn” on Thursday 28th December 9.20pm on TG4 takes viewers on an emotional journey, portraying the island’s traditions, resilience, and hope for the future.
Chris’s photographs provide a comparison between the island’s bygone era and its contemporary existence, offering a precious window into a world on the brink of vanishing.
The documentary emphasises the importance of conserving centuries-old customs, while envisioning a harmonious coalescence between tradition and the nuances of the contemporary era.
