Avolon has placed orders for 100 Airbus A321neo aircraft and 40 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, scheduled for delivery up to 2032. This brings their total direct orders from Boeing and Airbus to 200 aircraft this year.

The expansion of their orderbook reflects Avolon’s confidence in the long-term aviation outlook and their commitment to lower emissions. The A320neo and 737 MAX aircraft reduce fuel use and carbon emissions by up to 20pc compared to older generation planes.

A written press release from Avolon says these new orders support Avolon’s ability to provide customers with fuel-efficient aircraft in the coming years, contributing to the transformation of their fleet. The orders are subject to approval by Avolon’s majority shareholder, Bohai Leasing Co., Ltd., expected by the end of the year.
