Air India has unveiled its new uniforms, designed by Indian celebrity couturier Manish Malhotra, as part of the carrier’s revamped brand identity after being acquired by Tata Group.

The cabin crew will now wear ombré sarees in vibrant red-to-purple for junior crew and aubergine-to-burgundy for senior crew, along with matching blazers. They will also have the option to wear sarees with trousers for a unique East-meets-West look.

The pilots will don new black double-breasted suits with a print inspired by the Vista, symbolizing professionalism and timelessness. Accessories include black and burgundy block heels, pearl earrings, and sling bags for female crew, and black brogues for male employees.

Air India says that these innovative uniforms capture the essence of their new identity and will set new benchmarks in global aviation, showcasing the best of Indian heritage and hospitality.
