
Ireland has won the Best Destination in Europe award at the Travel Weekly Readers’ Choice Awards in New York for the 10th consecutive year.
Ireland beat shortlisted France, Greece, Italy, and Spain to claim the top spot in the ‘best destination in Europe’ category.
The Head of North America at Tourism Ireland, Alison Metcalfe, thanked “the hugely important contribution of our tourism partners from Ireland, who joined us on the ground in the US this year help to spread the word about why Ireland is such a great choice for a vacation. We look forward to working together again in 2024.”
Ireland hosted 1.7m American visitors pre pandemic, with visits contributing an estimated €1.6bn to the economy.
