Ardal’s Islands to premiere on TG4 in January

A journey exploring the islands off the coast of Ireland is the focus of Ardal O’Hanlon ‘s new TG4 series “Inis na nIontas” on TG4 Wednesday 10th January 9.30pm.

Ardal fulfills his long-standing ambition to speak and promote the Irish language in this series, which is his first Irish-language show.

The show dives into the diverse wildlife and rich history of the islands, featuring stunning landscapes, sustainable farming practices, and encounters with endangered species like the corncrake and white-tailed eagle.

Each episode focuses on a different region of the Irish islands, including the north, west coast, and far south, showcasing the unique beauty and cultural significance of each location.

Ardal’s experience filming the show was a revelatory one, highlighting the breathtaking scenery and diverse nature found on the islands. “Inis na nIontas” is produced by One Tribe and Boulder Creek International for TG4, BBC NI, and SBS, with additional funding from Tourism Ireland. The first episode will air on January 10th at 9.30pm on TG4.
