Avtrain, a leading European drone Pilot and Operator training and certification body located in Ireland, is fundraising to support its expansion.
The company promotes the widespread use of drones for mundane tasks (Motto: “We live by the 3D’s – If it is Dull, Dirty or Dangerous then a drone should be doing it”) and aims to maintain safe airspace through high-quality training and certification programmes.
Avtrain leverages cutting-edge online technologies to convey its training courses and offer consultancy services.
CEO and Founder, Julie Garland, holds significant experience in the aviation industry. She is a former Airline Training Captain, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, and previously worked as the Director Compliance for Norwegian Air International.
Garland is an authorised examiner for all drones up to 75kgs and is responsible for granting Pilot Competence Certificates and Specific Operating Permissions as per the guidelines of the Irish Aviation Authority.
Garland established the Unmanned Aircraft Association of Ireland and was instrumental in integrating the UAAI with the newly formed Joint European Drone Associations in a bid to provide a platform for drone operators across Europe.
