Guinness Storehouse back to 88pc of pre pandemic visitor numbers

The Guinness Storehouse hosted 1,531,654 visitors from 165 countries in 2023, back to 88pc of pre pandemic levels and up 32pc from 2022.

The attraction saw 84pc of the visitors from overseas, including 29pc from England and 26pc from the USA.

Special events such as the St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Christmas at the Guinness Storehouse, along with a new Brewery Tour Experience, drove visitor attraction from the UK, USA and mainland Europe.

The Storehouse hosted a number of cultural events and collaborations with notable artists, maintaining interest among domestic visitors. The events included sell-out gigs and programmes featuring local and international talent.

The Guinness Storehouse is dedicated to sustainability, with policies including zero waste to landfill, use of 100% renewable electricity, and a target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. It also received a Gold accreditation from Green Tourism in July 2023.

The venue is certified as an autism-friendly attraction by Ireland’s National Autism Charity, AsIAm, and will hold sensory-friendly hours from January 2024 to accommodate autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals.
