AerCap has summarised its activities in 2023:
- Signed a total of 592 lease agreements in 2023 including 173 purchases and 188 sale transactions.
- Received a total of $1.3bn in cash insurance settlement proceeds.
- Repurchased about 44m shares at an average price of
- 59.09 at 2.6bn.
- Secured financing transactions worth approximately $13.3bn.
- In the fourth quarter alone, signed 179 lease agreements including 11 widebody aircraft, 89 narrowbody aircraft, 3 regional jets, 57 engines and 19 helicopters.
- Completed 52 purchases, including various models of aircraft, engines and helicopters, in Q4.
- Completed 36 sale transactions involving a number of different aircraft models, engines and helicopters in the same quarter.
- Received another $609m in Q4 from cash insurance settlement proceeds.
- Repurchased about 10m shares at an average price of $62.86 totalling $649m in Q4.
- Inked financing transactions worth around $1.7bn in Q4.
