Delta has placed an order for 20 Airbus A350-1000, expected to begin deliveries in 2026.
The A350-1000, seen as a future staple of Delta’s long-haul network, has a capacity of between 350 and 410 passengers, offering more premium seats and expanded cargo capabilities.
Neither the total price tag of the deal nor the specific number of aircraft ordered were disclosed.
The A350-1000 is known for its larger size, fuel efficiency, and capability to fly ultra-long-haul routes, making it a desirable option for airlines like Delta and Qantas, which plans to use the A350-1000 for its “Project Sunrise routes from Sydney to heathrow and New York’s JFK.
