Delta has placed its first order for Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, with 20 aircraft scheduled for delivery starting in 2026.
The A350-1000 will primarily be used for long-haul routes and international expansion, replacing older planes and supporting growth.
In addition to the firm order, Delta has options for an additional 20 A350-1000 aircraft. The new planes will be configured with four classes and can accommodate up to 410 passengers.
