Private Flyer Fest Ireland has a new home at Ballyboy Airfield in Athboy, Co. Meath, on April 5th – 6th 2024.
The venue change was necessary due to a commercial decision by Weston, the previous host venue and redevelopment plans for the airport.
The organizers acted quickly to ensure a suitable venue to accommodate exhibitors and provide a great experience for visitors.
The event will still take place on the original confirmed dates of 5th – 6th April 2024, and the organisers are focused on delivering a bigger event for exhibitors and visitors.
Weston Airport received permission in April 2023 to upgrade its terminal buildings with a covered walkway between the flight training centre and the terminal building, after a group of investors, including Stripe co-founder John Collison, purchased a majority stake in Weston Aviation Academy Ltd.
Alex Ayling MD of Private Flyer Fest said “We remain entirely focussed on delivering an even bigger event for the second year of Private Flyer Fest Ireland for all of our exhibitors and visitors alike. We recognise that the venue change might potentially present an inconvenience or challenge for some of our exhibitors or visitors and we therefore ask for their understanding. We are grateful for the interest and support in our show and we recognise the level of inconvenience this may cause to some. We are committed to working with both our exhibitors and visitors to resolve any issues this change may create”.
