An Egyptair dreamliner bound for Newark, New Jersey, made an emergency landing at Dublin Airport due to a cracked windshield on Saturday.
The Boeing 787-9 aircraft landed safely after the crew reported the crack in the cockpit’s windshield.
Communication issues between the plane and Air Traffic Control led to the decision to divert to Dublin Airport instead of Shannon Airport.
The flight had 287 passengers onboard and a substitute aircraft was appointed to continue the journey to New York the following day.
