The OPW has launched a guide to Stephen’s Green in Dublin, Ellen Reid Soundwalk, a free, GPS-enabled work of public art that uses music to illuminate the natural environment.
The soundtrack is presented in St. Stephen’s Green by National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ireland in partnership with OPW – Office of Public Works and supported by IPUT Real Estate Dublin Heritage Ireland Tourism Ireland Visit Dublin Lovin Dublin.
Created by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and sound artist Ellen Reid, the experience is guided by the listener: the path you choose dictates the music you hear, and no two visits will be exactly the same.
After installing the free app and downloading the St. Stephen’s Green SOUNDWALK, participants can explore the park, triggering musical cells that are carefully crafted to harmonize with the park’s landscape.”
