The latest section of the Dodder Greenway, a new cycleway project, was officially opened in Dublin.

This segment, spanning 480 meters along the River Dodder, connects the Ballsbridge and Donnybrook communities and provides safe and attractive options for walking, cycling, and wheeling.

The construction of this section cost €5.6 million and includes features such as a flood defence wall, river bank erosion protection measures, and a community plaza.

The Dodder Greenway is part of Dublin City Council’s Active Travel Network and the National Transport Authority’s Greater Dublin Area Cycle Network Plan.

Anne Graham, CEO of the NTA, said: “This latest phase of the Dodder Greenway will help to deliver much needed connectivity for the local communities it serves through the provision of high-quality walking and cycling facilities along the banks of the River Dodder.”
