Turkish Airlines is deploying SmartMic language translation devices to enhance communication between customers and staff.
The devices allow passengers to speak in their native language and have it translated into the staff members’ language in real-time.
The SmartMic devices are equipped with seven-inch screens for both passengers and staff to read the translations.
Initially introduced at Istanbul hub and regional airports in Turkey, the devices will soon be launched in the rest of Europe and expanded to the airline’s global network in 2024.
