
Milan Court of Appeal rejects Lastminute and Viaggiare’s claims that Ryanair’s exclusive online distribution model is an abuse of a dominant position.
The court confirmed that Ryanair’s model is legal and not anti -co0nsumer. The airline claimed that it helps contain operating costs, offers competitive fares, and allows direct communication with customers without harming users.
Ryanair says it works to protect customers from what it calls price gouging by OTAs and “has made pro-consumer deals with Love Holidays, Kiwi and Tui for transparent marketing of flights.”
