Ryanair says it has moved three aircraft, introduced 16 new routes, and created over 200 jobs in Southern Italy due to the traffic cap at Dublin Airport.
Ryanair has called on Green Transport Minister Eamon Ryan to lift the traffic cap at Dublin Airport or resign from his position.
Minister Ryan claims he cannot interfere in the traffic cap issue, but has no problem involving himself in other planning matters.
Ryanair suggests that Minister Ryan should instruct Dublin Airport to lift the traffic cap temporarily or pass legislation to raise the cap until the planning process is completed.
If Minister Ryan does not take action, Ryanair believes Green Tourism Minister Catherine Martin should intervene instead.
Ryanair blames Minister Ryan’s inaction and incompetence for the loss of aircraft, routes, and jobs at Dublin Airport, and claims that his failure to deliver growth contradicts his own aviation policy.
