Emirates Flight Catering has fully acquired Bustanica, the world’s largest indoor vertical farm located near Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, with a capacity to grow over 1m kilograms of leafy greens annually.
The acquisition has made Bustanica a 100pc UAE-owned agriculture venture, known for producing a variety of clean, fresh, and nutrient-rich leafy greens, herbs, and microgreens without pesticides or herbicides.
Bustanica, formerly Emirates Crop One, has gained popularity in the UAE since its launch in July 2022 for its high-quality produce that can be consumed straight from the box, emphasizing cleanliness and freshness.
Emirates Flight Catering, known as one of the world’s largest catering operations, now owns Bustanica, enhancing its portfolio and sustainability efforts, while offering multiple flights from Dublin to Dubai for travellers.
