
Grant Thornton Ireland’s aviation advisory practice has seen revenue grow by 40pc from €4.3m to over €6m in 2023, driven by expansion in lease management, financial modelling, and transaction services.
The firm almost doubled the number of aircraft units it provides lease services for, jumping from 390 units to nearly 800 units, showcasing substantial growth in its aviation leasing division.
Grant Thornton’s aviation team has been instrumental in supporting aviation businesses through industry changes, optimizing platforms for lessors, and assisting with non-core activities during business scaling efforts.
Partner and Head of Aviation, Tim O’Connell, highlighted Dublin’s growth as an aviation leasing hub, with Grant Thornton working with 13 of the world’s largest lessors and anticipating further industry growth in Ireland. The firm, with around 3,000 employees, recorded revenue of around €300m in 2023, reflecting its expanding expertise and capabilities.
