The upcoming ‘Tourism Together’ Networking Event in County Clare on Wednesday, March 6th at The Inn At Dromoland will feature discussions on increased collaboration and the development of new initiatives to bolster the local tourism sector.
With 33pc of bed nights in Clare contracted to the government, there is a call for sector-wide participation to exchange ideas on overcoming challenges and attracting new business.
The event aims to reimagine tourism development in Clare, enhance appeal to the domestic visitor market, promote sustainable tourism, and capitalize on wellness tourism trends, as outlined in the County Clare Tourism Strategy 2030.
Sean Lally Chair of the Clare Tourism Advisory Forum said “This event is as much about reimagining our approach to tourism development in the county as it is about identifying current challenges faced by our sector. County Clare’s tourism operators are resilient and have a lengthy track record of adopting a collaborative approach to the development of the local sector. Proactive thinking and the implementation of new initiatives are required now more than ever as we seek to overcome reduced available accommodation by enhancing County Clare’s appeal to the growing domestic visitor market.”
Registration closing date is Friday, 23rd February 2024 at 5pm.
