SIPTU says that 70pc of staff at the DAA have approved a deal that offers them a 10.3pc pay rise over the next three years, with increases of 4pc this month, 3pc in March 2025, and another increase in 2026.

The deal also includes a payroll simplification process and will provide pay increases of up to 25pc for new entrants in roles such as cleaners, customer service staff, search officers, and retail staff.

The DAA, which operates Dublin Airport and Cork Airport, led by CEO Kenny Jacobs, said they are  ‘very happy that the proposals have been overwhelmingly endorsed by the vast majority of employees which gives huge certainty for staff on their pay for the next three years. The DAA had very positive engagement with trade union partners throughout the process. The fact that the majority of our trade union partners recommended acceptance of the proposals for acceptance greatly assisted the 70pc vote in favour achieved.

Trade union Siptu and the DAA clarified that the proposed deal would not have any adverse financial impact on pay or terms and conditions, addressing misinformation circulating among staff during the voting process.
