Aer Lingus flies Oscar hopefuls Cillian and Robbie to Los Angeles

Aer Lingus has hosted Irish actor Cillian Murphy and the Irish crew of the film Poor Things on their flight to Hollywood ahead of the Oscars where Murphy is nominated for Best Actor for his role in Oppenheimer.

Poor Things, an Irish-produced film, received 11 Academy Award nominations, the most ever for an Irish-produced film, with cinematographer Robbie Ryan among the nominees for Best Cinematography.

The nominees, including Murphy, Ryan, and other Element Pictures talent, flew on Aer Lingus flight EI 069 to Los Angeles for the event.

The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will take place on Sunday and be broadcast live on ITV1, with highlights airing on RTÉ Two and the RTÉ Player the following day.
