TII is increasing the value of the Property Owners Protection Scheme (POPS) for the MetroLink project from €45,000 to €75,000 in response to concerns from homeowners.

The POPS scheme compensates residential property owners for damage caused by construction of the MetroLink.

TII will adjust the €75,000 figure in line with the Consumer Price Index and homeowners can pursue project insurances for damages exceeding this amount.

An independent Dispute Resolution Process will be established for disputes regarding construction impacts, with a final determination issued by an independent expert.

Homeowners along the MetroLink route must sign up to POPS at least six months before construction begins, with the scheme remaining in place for 12 months after the line opens.
