India’s Spicejet has resolved a $49.8m dispute with Dublin-based lessor Echelon Ireland Madison One, which will see it add two more aircraft to its fleet.

It is the third lessor the airline has settled with in under a month, after Aercap unit Celestial Aviation and Cross Ocean Partners.

The resolution includes the acquisition of two airframes, with the positive development reflecting in the stock market as SpiceJet shares rose by 4.62pc following the announcement.

Echelon Ireland Madison One is based in the Irish Life Centre on Abbey Street.
