Brazil and Argentina agree open skies agreement

Brazil and Argentina have agreed to an open skies policy that eliminates weekly limits on passenger flights and enables seventh freedom cargo operations between the two countries.

Carriers from Brazil and Argentina will now have the freedom to determine the number of flights they offer, replacing the previous restriction of 170 weekly flights.

Several airlines from both countries currently operate regular scheduled services between Brazil and Argentina, with additional non-Argentinian/Brazilian carriers offering fifth-freedom flights. Additionally, cargo airlines will be permitted to operate freighter services without restrictions on the origin or destination.
