PLAY, the low-cost Icelandic airline, has announced the appointment of majority shareholder Einar Örn Ólafsson as the airline’s new CEO.
Einar Örn is PLAY’s largest shareholder and was the Chairman of Fly Play hf.’s Board of Directors, however has rescinded the role to take on the Chief Executive position.
Birgir Jónsson will remain within the role until 2 April 2024, and will then move to an advisory role for a few months following.
