
MSC Cruises completed the first steel cutting for its third world-class ship, MSC World Asia, set for completion in 2026 at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, with plans to introduce cutting-edge green technologies to reduce environmental impact.
The ceremony in Miami Beach featured MSC Cruises Group’s CEO Pierfrancesco Vago and Chantiers de l’Atlantique’s General Manager Laurent Castaing signing the inaugural steel piece for the latest vessel, emphasizing advanced features and alternative fuel capabilities to enhance sustainability and guest experience.
Following the MSC World Europa and MSC World America, the MSC World Asia will accommodate over 5,400 guests, offering redesigned areas for guest satisfaction, while bookings for cruises aboard the new ship are expected to open later in 2024, with tailored itineraries yet to be disclosed.
