The Celebrity Infinity will continue to sail year-round in Europe through early 2029, according to deployment plans recently revealed by Celebrity Cruises. The Millennium-class vessel will offer itineraries in the Eastern Mediterranean as part of its 2028 summer season in the region, before repositioning to the Canary Islands for the 2028-29 season operating a series of cruises out of Barcelona. The winter operation will allow guests to chase the sun as part of itineraries to destinations in Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
The deployment of the Infinity will mark the company’s return to Egypt with planned overnight visits to Alexandria, while shoulder season sailings to Greece and Turkey will give guests a chance to beat the crowds at sites in Athens, Santorini, Kavala, Rhodes, Mykonos and Ephesus. For the summer 2028 season, the Infinity will be joined in Europe by seven additional ships from Celebrity’s fleet, including the Celebrity Xcel and the Celebrity Ascent. The deployment represents the company’s largest season in Europe.
The Celebrity Infinity kicked off its year-round operations in Europe in early 2023 after repositioning from a winter season in South America, offering a mix of Mediterranean and Canary Islands cruises concentrating most of its operations in the Aegean and the Greek Islands. In 2026, the ship’s deployment includes visits to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, France, Portugal and Morocco. The ship experienced technical issues earlier this year leading to cancellation of an 11-night cruise.
Celebrity Cruises shared in a written statement: “The Celebrity Infinity will continue to offer year-round European itineraries, with winter sailings allowing guests to chase the sun in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. Shoulder season sailings to Greece and Turkey give guests a chance to beat the crowds at sites in Athens, Santorini, Rhodes, Mykonos and Ephesus.”
