Thursday’s Emirates flights EK162 and EK164 from Dublin to Dubai go ahead as normal today as the UAE cleans cup after record rainfall. Inbound flight EK161 is delayed by two hours.

Emirates passengers departing Dubai can now check in for their flights, but are advised to travel to the airport only if they have a confirmed flight booking due to congestion.

Check-in facilities were closed previously due to inclement weather for over 24 hours, leading to flight cancellations.

During Wednesday Dubai Airport advised passengers to only visit Terminal 1 if they have confirmation from their airline regarding their flight departure.

Impacted customers are advised to contact booking agents or Emirates contact centre for rebooking, with potential delays still expected in arriving and departing flights.

Emirates suspended check-in services at Dubai due to operational challenges caused by the bad weather.

A notice from the airport requested passengers not to go to the airport unless absolutely necessary due to significant flooding and road blockages

Flydubai has resumed partial operations from DXB with select flights operating from Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 operations scheduled to resume after midnight on April 17.
