Visit Waterford has introduced a new four-day “Slow Travel Experience” for visitors looking to explore the cultural offerings of the county, emphasizing a deeper connection to the local insights during their stay.

The experience encourages sustainable travel by suggesting visitors arrive in Waterford City via train, bus, or bicycle and explore the county from East to West using the Waterford Greenway, along with utilizing the local link bus service to access various destinations.

Spending four or more days in Waterford allows visitors to immerse themselves in coastal villages, support small local businesses, and enjoy a more meaningful journey off the beaten path.

The initiative aims to promote an immersive and valued travel experience for visitors by engaging with local tours, markets, and food, supporting local culture preservation while exploring historical sites and enjoying diverse activities in Waterford and its surrounding regions.
