
Air traffic controllers and other staff at AirNav Ireland received a €4.1m one-time compensation payout for wage cuts during Covid-19, with CEO Peter Kearney benefiting with a payment of €19,340.
The agency’s pre-tax profits increased by 71% to €20.44m in 2023, as it benefited from the recovery of air travel.
AirNav Ireland, which provides air traffic management services in Irish-controlled airspace, declared a dividend of €4.5m to the Government in 2023.
The company’s annual report shows increased revenues, with €135.14m from “en route” revenues, and an increase in staff numbers to 626, including 297 air traffic controllers.
