Saudia Group has placed an order with Airbus for 105 A320/A321neo aircraft, distributed between Saudia and flyadeal.

Saudia will receive 54 A321neo aircraft, while flyadeal will get 39 A321neo and 12 A320neo.

This acquisition supports Saudia Group’s goals under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to enlarge passenger capacity to 330m, expand destinations to 250, draw 150m tourists, and increase Umrah pilgrim capacity to 30m by 2030.

Deliveries of the new aircraft will commence in the first quarter of 2026, with 88 out of the 105 planes expected to be received over the ensuing five years.

A written statement form Saudia said: “the new aircraft directly support Saudia Group’s objectives to connect the world with the Kingdom, aligning with several key pillars of Saudi Vision 2030. These include the transportation and logistics objectives to increase guests’ capacity to 330m and expand destinations to 250 by 2030, and the tourism objective to attract 150m visits by 2030. This is in addition to the Hajj and Umrah objective to contribute to the increase of Umrah pilgrim capacity to 30m by 2030.”
