The ‘Feel the Force’ Star Wars festival in Dunmanway, Co Cork on June 1–2, has garnered interest from people across Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, the US, and Europe.
The festival, taking place over the June bank holiday weekend, will be the largest exhibition ever staged in Ireland on George Lucas’ Star Wars series.
Organised by costume designer Nuri ‘Newry’ Bakry, the festival has a theme of ‘All Tribes Welcome’ and will feature activities by cosplayers in iconic Star Wars costumes.
The event, born from a small exhibition last year, has grown into a galactic festival, showcasing Nuri’s extensive private collection of Star Wars memorabilia and featuring a precise replica of Queen Amidala’s costume and throne, among other attractions.
