Filming for season seven of Bare Feet with Mickela Mallozzi, a travel series that highlights cultural and dance traditions, is taking place in Ireland this week.
Mickela and her crew have been capturing content for three 30-minute episodes which will air on PBS in spring next year.
Locations featured include The Glens Centre, Sligo Oyster Experience, Nancy’s Barn, Malin Head, The Giant’s Causeway, and McConnell’s Distillery.
Tourism Ireland sees the filming as a valuable opportunity to showcase Ireland’s scenery, music, and culture to a large US audience, inspiring prospective American holidaymakers to visit the destination.
Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “Publicity and broadcasts like this are a key element of Tourism Ireland’s programme of promotional activity, to inspire travellers in the United States, and elsewhere around the world, to choose Ireland for their next holiday. We are delighted that Bare Feet with Mickela Mallozzi is filming in the North West and Northern Ireland this week. It’s a wonderful opportunity to highlight our beautiful scenery, our rich music and dance traditions, as well as some of the many things to see and do here, to a huge audience across the US. The publicity value of a TV programme like this is immense – it is an excellent way of shining a spotlight on Ireland, inspiring prospective American holidaymakers to come and experience the destination for themselves.”
