Taxi app Freenow says busiest week of the summer for airport trips will be next week
The company has launched a €3m summer driver bonus fund to reward driver partners for keeping the public and inbound tourists moving during the busy summer season, with an expected increase in airport trips.
According to Freenow research, 66pc of driver partners plan to complete more trips over the summer season, with 63pc of passengers relying on Freenow taxis as their primary mode of transport to and from the airport.
The company says their research indicates that tourists value the friendly service and local knowledge provided by Freenow drivers, with 63pc requesting personal recommendations on places to visit.
