Michael O’Leary has told Newstalk listeners that Dublin Airport flights could exceed €1,000 at Christmas if passenger cap is not lifted.

O’Leary criticised Transport Minister Eamon Ryan for the cap, calling it ‘insane and stupid.’

He argues that lifting the cap would lead to significant growth in tourism jobs and GDP for Ireland.

O’Leary suggests either DAA ignore the cap or legislation be passed to remove it, to avoid losing out on economic opportunities.
