Details confirmed for Kildare Town’s Derby Festival

Details have been confirmed for Kildare Town’s Derby Festival next week featuring a diverse range of events celebrating culture, art, music, classical concerts, food, and even a unique Wheelbarrow Derby.

The highlight of the festival will be The Morricone Experience concert at St. Brigid’s Cathedral on June 26, where the iconic ensemble will perform timeless compositions of Ennio Morricone in the historic setting with renowned acoustics to enhance the musical experience.

Orla Murtagh, chairperson of the Kildare Derby Festival Committee, expressed excitement for the week-long festival, showcasing Kildare’s rich cultural and racing history, leading up to the Irish Derby at the Curragh Racecourse.
