Nordic travel journalists hosted in county Kerry

Travel journalists from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland visited County Kerry at the invitation of Tourism Ireland to explore the scenery, culture, heritage, and food offerings, as well as environmentally friendly initiatives like the Killarney Coffee Cup Project.

The journalists engaged in a diverse itinerary, meeting with local businesses, exploring attractions like Killarney House, enjoying activities such as kayaking, seaweed walks, and e-bike tours, and experiencing traditional experiences like a jaunting car ride in Killarney, with the aim of inspiring their audience to add Kerry and Ireland to their holiday plans.

Emer Mac Diarmada, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for the Nordic Region, said: “this group of influential Nordic travel journalists visiting Kerry and Ireland will experience at first-hand some of the superb experiences on offer for Nordic holidaymakers. Tourism Ireland undertakes a busy publicity programme around the world each year to raise the profile of the island of Ireland – and visits by influential travel writers like these are a key element of that programme.”
