Vienna has been named the world’s most liveable city for the third consecutive year, while Dublin has dropped seven places to 39th in the rankings by the Economist magazine

Tel Aviv in Israel experienced the biggest decline in the past year, falling 20 places to 112th

Vienna was followed by Copenhagen, Zurich, Melbourne, and Calgary in the top five of the Economist Intelligence Unit Global Liveability Index

The report noted that Western Europe is the most liveable region, but has seen a decline in stability scores due to disruptive protests and crime. Vienna received full scores in stability, healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
