Minister Heather Humphreys has opened an ‘Access to the Sea’ project in Tullaghan, county Leitrim, providing safe access to the sea shore and enhancing the area for visitors.
The project is funded under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme, creating roadway, car park, and seating for public use.
The minister announced the expansion of Mountain Access Project, inviting expressions of interest from upland communities to sustainably manage recreational access to the mountains.
The Mountain Access Project aims to build a sustainable management model, providing public liability insurance cover for landholders allowing access for recreational activities.
