The Culture & Crafts Fair at Craggaunowen in Clare will showcase Ireland’s lost crafts and traditional trades, taking place on July 13-14th, 2024.

The Fair will offer visitors the opportunity to interact with local artists, craftspeople, storytellers, musicians, and dancers from County Clare, highlighting ancient skills such as timber craftwork, basket making, forging, and drum making.

The event will feature demonstrations and talks by local artists and craft producers at the 16th-century Craggaunowen Castle, coupled with live traditional music, set dancing performances, storytelling, comedy, and puppet shows for all ages.

The Fair, organized by Pauline Lenihan, the Site Manager at Craggaunowen, aims to celebrate the history, heritage, and ancient traditions of County Clare, offering an educational and fun-filled day for visitors to experience the life of Bronze Age settlers and discover the culture and crafts of the region.
