
Skål International’s 23rd Sustainable Tourism Awards have attracted 56 participants from 20 countries across eight categories, bringing the total to 1,000 entrants since 2002.
- 15 from Mexico,
- 9 from Finland,
- 6 from Spain,
- 5 from South Africa,
- 3 from Australia and Türkiye,
- 2 from Chile, Ecuador, India, Mauritius and Sri Lanka
- 1 from Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, New Zealand, Switzerland and Thailand
The awards, in collaboration with UN Tourism and other partners, aim to promote sustainability practices and innovations within the tourism sector, showcasing exemplary projects for global recognition and learning.
Winners of the awards will receive the “Skål/Biosphere Sustainable Special Award” and a one-year subscription to the Biosphere Sustainable platform for creating personalized Sustainability Plans.
The winners of the 23rd Sustainable Tourism Awards will be announced during the 83rd Skål International World Congress in Izmir, Türkiye, reflecting the industry’s commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible tourism.
