Aer Lingus and Ryanair are challenging a decision by the Irish Aviation Authority regarding aircraft capacity limits at Dublin Airport for the upcoming winter.

The Dublin Airport Authority has already sought a judicial review of the decision, prompting the two airlines to do the same.

Lawyers for Aer Lingus and Ryanair have informed Ms Justice Niamh Hyland of their intention to bring legal proceedings.

The outcome of the High Court challenges could impact the operations of both airlines at Dublin Airport in the coming months.
